Our mission
Our mission is to bring diverse stakeholders from the broader Asia-Pacific region together to address the challenges and opportunities in governance of emerging digital technologies, including e-commerce, social media, artificial intelligence (AI), and other algorithmic systems from a perspective rooted in agency and insights of the diverse Indo-Pacific region. Our vision is a region thriving through sustainable digital opportunities, grounded in our values of connection, understanding, and justice.
Our community

United Nations Internet Governance Forum Session Leader
Digital Governance Asia will organize a Lightening Talk entitled, "Privacy, Policy, and Power in Asia's AI Regulations" at the 2024 Internet Governance Forum. We will discuss the importance of privacy regulators in shaping AI governance in Asia and addressing actual AI harms.
United Nations Responsible Business and Human Rights Forum 2024
Digital Governance Asia organized a session at the recent UN RBHR Forum APAC in September 2024. We were joined by leading civil society organizations, intergovernmental organizations, and government representatives to shape the discussions on the "Remedy Blueprint".
